Military Solutions

Since 2002 All American Building Systems (AABS) has been a major player in the military housing industry. The goal of the military is to upgrade the quality of living space for soldiers -- quickly. Our core strengths of consistent high quality and fast construction make us a natural fit for this demanding military housing. We currently have over 1 million square feet of LEED Silver barracks on the ground.

Innovative technology protects our soldiers

AABS created the template for two, three and four story wood frame construction in modular form, which has been adopted by the Army Corps of Engineers for modern military barracks buildings. Working with the Corps, AABS developed a structural reinforcement and connection design that allows their buildings to meet the resistance to progressive collapse anti-terrorism requirements for multi-story buildings adopted by the government after the Oklahoma City, Murrah Federal Building tragedy.

Progressive collapse is an innovative design approach that protects soldiers in the event of an attack. What this means is that in a multi-story building, should any one section of the building fail -- even to the extent of being completely destroyed, the remaining structure will stand long enough for all occupants to safely evacuate.

Fort Bliss

The Fort Bliss, Texas, Task Order #2 barracks project consisted of eleven buildings with 64 living units in each building. Each unit is two bedrooms with one bath and a full kitchen. In addition to the traditional commercial living space requirements these buildings incorporated blast resistant windows and impact resistant drywall.

The modern design of military barracks buildings provide comfortable housing accommodations for individual soldiers between deployments and are a dramatic change from the old "Quonset hut" style of barracks building they are replacing.

Fort Carson

Fort Carson BCT-H and DHQ buildings represent the first modern, wood framed, three and four story barracks buildings utilizing modular construction technology built in the United States. AABS built five UEPH (Unaccompanied Enlisted Personnel Housing) four story buildings, each consisting of 184 two bedroom, one bath plus kitchen apartments. AABS also built one three story building, consisting of 122 two bedroom, one bath plus kitchen apartments. This building also incorporated several large laundry rooms and wash down mud rooms.
